On Location Pinup Girl photo shoot with Boudoir Louisville

We LOVE to get out of the studio! One of our favorite past clients came back in to town for a few days, so I dragged her to an alley and made her shoot pinup photos with us again! We shot in the middle of the day, or as I like to call it, the shittiest time of the day to shoot in. I busted out a fancy try-flash adapter and hooked up 3 Nikon SB910 flashes and 3 Pocket Wizard Flex TTL triggers. Slapped that thing on a light stand and started firing away. With the Pocket Wizard system, I was able to sync to 5000th of a second to give a moody night time look to a few of my pics. Since I was using 3 flashes, I had no problem with light output. My Chief Vehicle Acquisitions Manager, Blandford, found me another great hot rod to use. It was actually one of his old trucks that he built years ago.
As soon as I have a little spare time, we shot a great behind the scenes video of this shoot. Stay tuned for that mess!

This gal was so much fun to shoot with. It's hard to tell from her photos that she was nervous! I'm pretty sure all of our clients are terrified when they first arrive! She had the best "Shocked" and "Surprised" pinup faces. I kept making her do them over and over. Like many of our past clients, I will be using her in an upcoming on location pinup photo shoot later this Summer. We always use fun clients for those shoots, models just aren't as much fun!

A little Old Hollywood style boudoir for ya from Boudoir Louisville

We love pretty much everything vintage at Boudoir Louisville. We always tell our boudoir clients to bring a black bra, garter belt and stockings with them. It is such a classic look! This outfit NEVER gets outdated and always looks great on camera. For this set, we decided to have her lounging on one of our chaise lounges in front of our big, custom made stage curtain. It really gives that sexy Old Hollywood feel to the photos. Val was such a great client! She is a little shy, so we left her face out of the photos we are posting.

Boudoir AND Pinup in the same photo shoot!

We get asked all the time if a client can shoot both boudoir and pinup styles during their photo shoot with Boudoir Louisville. Well, why the hell not? We do it all the time! We love using pinup styled vintage hair and makeup for our boudoir sessions. Sara was a huge fan of pinup, so we gave her a great pinup inspired hair and makeup look before snapping a few cheesecake pinups. When we were finished with the fun and flirty pinups, we moved right into shooting boudoir. The hair and makeup looked fantastic for both!

Boudoir Photo Shoot with Boudoir Louisville! New Bedding!

We decided to bust out some new bedding for this shoot. I wanted something with a little bit of pattern to it, so we purchased a black and white damask set. I think it looks great with this clients outfit. Her purple gives a nice pop of color to my white brink walls as well as the black and white bedding. She was fantastic to shoot! It's true, boudoir photo shoots are awesome, but pinup girls are always so much fun! The client below is a roller derby girl from Missouri. She traveled to our studio for some fun and flirty pinup photos. Well, she got them! We had so much fun shooting her and hope she comes back real soon!
