Elvgren Redux with Laura Kirkpatrick and Boudoir Louisville

If you do not know who Elvgren was, you are not a true pinup fan! Elvgren was the best pinup artist around.
Many of the poses we do in studio were inspired by him and his awesome paintings.
As a side project, I decided to snap a series of Elvgren shots. We would TRY to reproduce them as closely as we could.
The model used for this shot was the runner up on Americas Next Top Model, Laura Kirkpatrick.
I've shot with her before, she's loads of fun!

Pinup Girl Pose-a-Thon with Boudoir Louisville!

During a recent pinup girl photo shoot, Catherine Jones decided to run her mouth!
She made the claim that she could hold a very difficult pinup pose "FOREVER"!
Of coarse I called her on her shit.
The first thing I did was grab my iphone so I could bring up the stopwatch.
I handed the video camera over to Britt and away we went!
She lasted a lot longer than I expected!
We also had a few "special" guests in the studio to witness this mess. Edson, creator of PinupLifestyle.com and runner up from America's Next Top Model, Laura Kirkpatrick.
We keep things very interesting...

Just wanted to thank all of our fantastic clients from this past year! You helped us make 2010 our biggest year yet! Big thanks, also, to all of our fans! It's great and very flattering that there are so many folks out there that enjoy looking at our photos.

Last night, Catherine dropped by the studio so we could shoot some Valentine's Day promos for the website. We decided to snap a few pics for our buddy Michael over at Retro Lovely Magazine!

Super Swanky Fur Coat Boudoir Shots!

I'm not sure why more clients don't bring fur coats to the studio with them...
I think these shots turned out really great. Something a little different, very elegant and sexy.
This set reminds me of an old Hollywood glamour photo shoot.
Lauren booked her shoot with us as a gift for her hubby. Word on the street is that she could not keep it a secret until Christmas. She folded and gave the book to him early. HE LOVED IT!

Adam's Pinup photo shoot with Boudoir Louisville!

I'm sure that if you have followed Boudoir Louisville for any amount of time you have seen pics of my buddy Adam. He owns an old hot rod truck we have used in a few of our shots.
Anyway, this is what happens when you feed him beer and dump him in my studio.
Notice how well he points his toes. He is a natural!

Shanna wanted to give her man a super snazzy gift for Christmas this year. She is also set to deploy in a few weeks. While she is away kicking ass for our country, he will have a great hardcover book packed full of pics of his honey!

Behind the scenes video with Boudoir Louisville - Wigwam Village Pinup girl photo shoot

We had so much fun shooting the behind the scenes video at WigWam Village in Cave City Kentucky.  I could not have asked for a better car to include in this shoot. Gorgeous '55 Bel Air owned by a swell local couple. We will need to go back to Cave City soon. Lots-o-fun stuff to shoot there.

2011 is going to be exciting! Lot's of events coming up!

2011 is shaping up to be pretty busy for Boudoir Louisville.
In February we will be in the Cincinnati are for the Voodoo Carnival Masquerade.
This is the 4th event produced by the Queen City Cabaret. All of our
events are Victorian-themed vaudeville shows. This one will be a Mardi
Gras inspired masquerade party. All of them are heavily influenced by
the steampunk movement.
The Carnival will be from 8 PM to 1 AM February 5th. The location is
at the Southgate House in Newport, Kentucky.

In April, we will be headed to Las Vegas for the annual Viva Las Vegas event! This is a huge pinup girl and rockabilly event, the biggest in the world actually.
If you will be attending this event, we will be scheduling pinup shoots while we are in Vegas. We will have our whole team there.

May is Beatersville time! 
Beatersville is a snazzy hotrod show that takes place 2 blocks from our studio. Our friends from Pinup Lifestyle will be there as well.

Boudoir shoot with a snazzy peacock feather burlesque fan

Natalie wanted to add a few fun burlesque type shots to the softer classic boudoir stuff we snapped earlier in our shoot. Not a problem. I had this huge peacock feather fan sitting in one of our prop closets that needed some use. I tossed it at Natalie and she knocked out some fun poses.
I was picking up green feathers for days after our shoot...

Mindy wanted to feel like she was in a Victoria's Secret ad. What the hell, figured I'd give it a shot...
She is a little shy, so you only get the cropped shots. If only you could see the whole image. Mindy was stunning, and such a natural when it came to posing.

Mandy wanted to give her man something REALLY snazzy this year for Christmas, so she booked a boudoir photo shoot with Boudoir Louisville!
Her hubby plays guitar, so we tossed it into the mix for a few of the pics.
Mandy wanted a mix between classic boudoir and fun pinup styles. When clients do this, the book turns out really awesome! One page, sexy. The next, fun and playful.

Amanda's Boudoir Photo Shoot with Boudoir Louisville

Amanda was fantastic to shoot with. Every time I picked up the camera, she was hitting the perfect pose and facial expression! And look at that hair and makeup! Catherine knocked this one out of the park. We have the best pinup hair stylist around!
Amanda booked her shoot with us so she would have something awesome to give her man for Christmas. This year, I think she wins the "Best Christmas Gift Ever" trophy!
