Halloween with Boudoir Louisville

Last night my wife and I had our 7th annual Halloween party. 

A rip-roaring good time was had by all. Scooter came early and set up a mobile hair and makeup studio in my garage. As always, the girls looked great!

Kaala visited the Boudoir Louisville studio as part of a Pinup Party of 4 girls. They all got together to celebrate a friends Birthday by snapping some fun Pinup photos. What better way to celebrate a Birthday! Come to our studio, get made up and get some snazzy pics of yourself as well as with all your girlfriends!
Kaala was a little nervous... She NEVER wears her hair or makeup like this. I totally think it works for her.

Pinups with Katy! - Boudoir Louisville

Katy is such a fun gal to shoot! This is my 2nd time shooting Katy. This time, she booked a Pinup Party for her and her girlfriends as part of a weekend long Birthday celebration. I'm pretty sure they had a great time at the Boudoir Louisville studio!
If you could only see the group shots that were taken! They had our hair and makeup artist, Scooter, doing all kinds of silly stuff on camera!

VIDEO PROOF: Scooter, our hair/makeup artist, is a friggin' goofball!

Yesterday, Britt, Scooter and I went out shopping for Halloween costume items. Scooter came up with a crazy costume idea that involved a pair of stripper shoes. We took a drive out to the Zappo's outlet and started to look for trashy shoes. Scooter found a lovely clear and black 6" heel. He tries them on to see if he can walk in them. OF COARSE I pulled out my iphone and shot a video. The old man working at the shoe store did not think it was very funny. He just stood there while Scooter wobbled around on his stripper shoes. As soon as Scooter turned around and discovered this old man watching him, he about falls on his ass! The old man just looks at Scooter and grunts "TAKE THEM OFF"! Whatever...

Tattoos make boudoir shots fun! Boudoir Louisville

There is something about shooting a tattooed girl during a boudoir shoot that I just love.
I like the added color tattoos add to the shots. I also like the fact that I am shooting soft, girlie boudoir shots of a tough looking girl covered with ink!

Tattoos work so well for pinup photo shoots! I'm a sucker for bright colors, and a big tattoo is just another way to get more color into my shot. Jessica was a lot of fun to shoot with. She wanted to shoot with us as a way to document all of her ink while it was still in the right places! (Her words, not mine)

Pinup Girl in a Pumpkin Patch! Boudoir Louisville

A few months ago, I started doing something new with my on-location pinup shoots.
I started using past clients!
Amber booked a pinup and boudoir photo shoot with us a month or so ago. The whole time we were shooting, she kept giving it 110%! She is a huge goofball, just like the rest of the crew at Boudoir Louisville. When it came time for me to do another on-location photo shoot, I decided to give her a shout. I did this same thing with the 2nd Carnival Midway photo shoot.
If you book a shoot with us, and you have a fun pinup girl thing going, you might end up in one of our magazine photo shoots. I am currently shooting for a few pinup magazines and am always looking for wacky new photo shoot ideas.

Anyway, Amber trains horses for a living. Because of this, she lives way out in the middle of nowhere. When you live way out in the sticks, you have cool things, like pumpkin patches, in your backyard! With this being October, I thought it was a great idea!

As soon as I get a spare second, I will edit the behind the scenes video from this shoot. I make a pretty big ass of myself in this one...

We get asked all the time if you can mix the boudoir and pinup styles during your photo shoot with us. YOU SURE CAN!
Shooting both boudoir and pinup styles really makes your book stand out and gives it lots of variety.
The pics below are just a small sample of the actual shoot. We normally give the client 75-ish edited pics to choose from. 30 or so go into the custom, lay-flat book that is included with every shoot.

Amie was AWESOME to shoot with! She had energy to spare. We hope to see her in studio again real soon...

Boudoir Photo Shoot - Trying out a new Lightroom preset...

For this photo shoot, I decided to create a new Adobe Lightroom preset. I guess it is kind of a high-key, sepia looking thing! I think this edit worked pretty well on these shots.
Samantha was great to work with. She booked a boudoir photo shoot with us as a one year anniversary gift to her husband. I bet he likes this better than some other lame gift!

Tough day at the office...

We like to have fun at Boudoir Louisville!
I have the toughest job in the world! Today, my assistant Britt and I took a break from shooting pics of half naked girls to ride Go-Carts! She kicked my ass! It's hard to race go-carts and shoot a multiple-camera angle, Hollywood style race video!
I am already planning my big racing comeback!

Earlier this week we snapped some gorgeous shots of Amy. She wanted to give a special gift to her husband, so she booked a shoot with Boudoir Louisville.
